Hoversurf Hoverbike

The flying bike HOVER ONE, previously called Scorpion 3, which started as a crowdfunding project is now available for order! Its manufacturer Hovesurf has offices in Russia and California and are seriously passionate about creating the world’s first eco-friendly, technologically-advanced and safe platform for the future of air transportation. With their long-term goal of creating unique electric-powered aircraft designed for the existing urban infrastructure, this particular hover bike is well suited for the recreational community.

As described on their website, the current HOVER ONE vehicle is an extreme sports machine for those who are not afraid of height and speed. The configuration of this flying bike is comparable to that of motorcycle, with the obvious exception of having wheels replaced with rotors that make you airborne! The vehicles’ specs as shown on Hoversuf’s website are as follows:

  • Range – 21 km* (13 mi)
  • The maximum speed is 70 km/h* (43 mph)
  • Flight time – 20 minutes (SD LiPo battery) *weather dependant
  • Weight – 50 kg/110 lbs (without batteries)
  • Total weight – 104 kg/ 229 lbs (with batteries)
  • Batteries – 3 boxes with a handle, 18 kg/39 lbs each
  • Battery charging time – 3 hours
  • Battery replacement time – 1 min

The price of the HOVER ONE starts at $59,900 usd and requires a $2,000 reservation deposit. Although there still is much to review in terms of business model and safe application, this certainly looks like a great addition to NexAvian’s future human flight experiences. As we continue to evaluate its regulatory requirements and feasibility within certain countries, we remain cautiously excited this potential opportunity.

In terms of their urban air mobility position, Hoversurf reported in October of last year at the GITEX Technology Week in Dubai, that they received an invitation to open mass production in the Dubai area.
